Louise Poliquin

Experience

In September 1997, Louise Poliquin founded the Groupe Poliquin-Wakefield Group Inc. (GPWG Inc.), a consulting company which provides organization and individual development services,  in both English and French. Louise has worked for more than 50 public, private and not-for-profit organizations. She is a competent consultant, coach and group facilitator.

Ms. Poliquin’s specialty is to assist individuals and organizations in preparing for and building their future. She supports people and teams in their efforts to develop and to manage change, increase efficiency, productivity, commitment and personal satisfaction.

Louise Poliquin offers leading-edge expertise through such activities as: organization development, facilitation, coaching, team-building and training. Examples of specific interventions include:

  • Adapted and delivered leadership development programs for the Canada School of Public Service;
  • Facilitated numerous group meetings and retreats through active participation and commitment in Canada and abroad;
  • Advised senior executives on the planning and implementation of organizational changes;
  • Coached executives, managers and staff towards increased personal satisfaction, career potential and organizational effectiveness;
  • Led organizational assessments and interventions based on the diagnoses;
  • Administered and interpreted psychometric instruments for clients in various settings.

Louise brings extensive leadership and consulting experience to her professional roles. She spent twenty years in the public and private sectors where she held positions as manager, consultant, senior advisor, trainer and officer. Since creating her own firm, Louise has focused on group and individual development.

Louise has developed her skills through numerous experiences; the most profound include her work in Haiti and in Africa, her career as a public servant and her work with community organizations. Her effectiveness as a consultant is supported by her strong ability to balance reflection and action, to value and draw from diversity, and to encourage all individuals to be leaders in their own environment.

Louise and her husband live in the country, on the outskirts of beautiful Gatineau Park.
